Why is my gate not opening when the detect LED is solid on?

1. Poor connection: Ensure the relay wires are securely installed on the terminal block and gate control board with no loose, weak, or rusted connections.
2. Incorrect Relay Wiring: The output relay may be wired to the wrong terminal on the gate operator board. Consult both the gate operator and detector manuals to check connections.
3. Gate Operator Control Board Fault: The issue may lie with the gate operator rather than the detection system. To test this, disconnect the detector harness or wire leads from the operator board. Hit open command; if gate doesn’t open, gate control board may be faulty.
4. Bad loop detector relay: Set your multimeter to continuity to test the output terminals: without detection, COM to NC should be a closed circuit and COM to NO should be an open circuit. Trigger detection on the detector and check again, the outcome should be reversed on both. If the terminals fail to switch states during a call, the internal relay is faulty, and the detector must be replaced.
5. Bad loop, probe or detector: Test with a known-good spare. If available, connect a test loop, spare loop, spare probe, or spare detector to isolate the issue. If the fault stays with the loop, inspect or replace the loop/probe; if the fault stays with the unit, replace the detector.
