Why is the loop detector green and red LED blinking none-stop at the same rate?

This article discusses troubleshooting steps to determine why the detector both green and red led are blinking non-stop.

  1. Low power: If the power voltage drops below the operating threshold, the control logic will be on Fail-Safe/Secure Mode and flash the LEDs to indicate insufficient power.
  2. Power Source Issue: Unstable, noisy, or inadequate power may cause this. Try using another 12-24VDC power source.
  3. Bad power source or detector: Test with a known-good spare. If available, connect a spare detector to isolate the issue. If the fault stays with the power source and gate control being connected to, inspect or replace the power source or check connections to the gate operator; if the fault stays with the unit, replace the detector.
